C’était la 6ème après Bruxelles en 1991, Naples en 1993, Toulouse en 1997, Hambourg en 2001 et Vienne en 2006. La dernière remontait donc à 5 ans et le succès de cette conférence ne se dément pas : l’organisateur a dû refuser du monde au dîner de gala du 31 mars pour lequel il avait limité le nombre de participants à 900 (invitation incluse dans l’inscription payante au colloque). Pour plus d'information, voir le site : www.aerodays2011.org o Le 16ème Board of Trustees du CEAS s’est réuni le 31 mars à Madrid à l’occasion d’Aerodays 2011. Le nouveau Président Pierre Bescond y a présenté son projet de politique générale, « au service des sociétés membres ». On peut trouver le contenu de cette déclaration à travers son interview par Jean-Pierre Sanfourche dans le bulletin CEAS 2011, Issue 1 qui vient d’être publié. Ce bulletin est accessible sur le site de la 3AF et celui du CEAS www.ceas.org o La 3ème « CEAS European Air and Space Conference » aura lieu du 24 au 28 octobre 2011, à Venise. Le « call for paper » a été émis. Le thème de la conférence, organisée par notre société sœur italienne l’AIDAA, est “Flying to the future”, message destiné à capter l’attention des jeunes auxquels des conditions particulières seront faites, mais aussi des professionnels de toute l’Europe : l’AIDAA et le CEAS espèrent que l’ouverture à l’ensemble de l’Europe de ce 21ème Congrès de l’AIDAA dans le somptueux cadre de Venise ne laissera personne indifférent. Board CEAS Pierre BESCOND prend la présidence du CEAS, 2 Décembre 2011 Chargés des Relations Internationales de la 3AF, Pierre BESCOND et François GAYET représentent la 3AF à la fédération européenne correspondante, le CEAS (Council of European Aerospace Societies, site www.ceas.org) et en sont donc deux des "trustees" (membres du BoT, Board of Trustees, en fait le Conseil d’Administration du CEAS). Pierre BESCOND y est Vice-Président Finances et François GAYET Président du PCC (Programmes Coordination Committee qui a pour rôle essentiel de coordonner les diverses manifestations du CEAS de façon qu’elles s’intègrent bien dans le calendrier européen et même mondial des congrès, colloques et conférences). A la réunion du 2 décembre dernier à Bruxelles du BoT, qui voyait la fin du 2ème mandat du Président Joachim Szodruch, du DGLR, société "soeur" allemande, Pierre BESCOND a été élu à l'unanimité Président du CEAS. Le mandat est d'une durée de 1 an renouvelable. François GAYET a par ailleurs été élu Vice-Président International. Présentation de Alain Garcia de nov.07 . Membres des TC en nov.07 Candidatures aux commissions CEAS (avril 2007) Le Conseil de CEAS se réunira le mercredi 20 juin 2007 pendant le salon du Bourget. Au cours de cette réunion la candidature de la Pologne de la Finlande et de la Grèce sera examinée. Actuellement 8 pays sont représentés : la France, la Grande Bretagne, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, l'Espagne, les Pays-Bas, la Suède et la Suisse. Les commissions techniques CEAS sont organisées en 3 catégories, celles qui dépendent de la branche aéronautique, celles qui dépendent de la branche espace et celle qui dépendent des deux branches et sont sous la responsabilité du Directeur Exécutif, Dieter Schmitt. Ces commissions sont ouvertes à la création et doivent être finalisées (objet, dirigeants et composition) pour le 1er juin 2007. Les associations membres de CEAS doivent manifester leur intérêt et faire des propositions en conséquence. Tout membre AAAF intéressé est invité à se faire connaître auprès du secrétariat AAAF. The Council, a not-for-profit umbrella organisation, aims to develop a framework within which the major aerospace societies in Europe can work more closely together. The eight founding members of the Council are: oThe « Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France» (AAAF); oThe « Asociacion de Ingenieros Aeronauticos de Espana » (AIAE) ; oThe « Associazione Italiana di Aeronautica e Astronautica » (AIDAA) ; oThe « Deutsche Gesellschaft für Luft und Raumfahrt Lilienthal-Oberth » (DGLR); oThe « Nederlandse Vereniging voor Luchtvaarttechniek » (NVvL); oThe « Royal Aeronautical Society » (RAeS); oThe « Flygtekniska Foreningen Svensk Forening for Flygteknik och rymdteknik » (FTF); oThe « Schweizerische Vereinigung für Flugwissenschaften » (SVFW). Following its establishment as a legal entity conferred under Belgium Law and the approval of the Statutes at the General Assembly, the new organization will begin its operations on 1st January 2007 and will be headquartered at the Brussels offices of the DLR. The CEAS mission is to add value at a European level to the wide range of services provided by the constituent member societies, allowing for greater dialogue between the latter and the European institutions, industry, government and academia. Specific linkages will be sought with the EC (European Commission), ASD (AeroSpace and Defense industry association, ex AECMA), ACARE (Advisory Committee for Aeronautics Research in Europe), EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and ESA (European Space Agency). In addition, the new Council will focus on education & training and how best to encourage high-talented students and engineers to choose a career in aeronautics or space. Reporting to the Council will be two Branches, one focused on Aeronautics and the other on Space. By engaging professionals in a number of Technical Committees in each sector, the Branches will provide a European focal point. As early as January 2007, each constituent society will offer its own members an annual membership to CEAS Branches (one or both) : for the year 2007, it will be free of charge. A bi-annual Conference is planned to provide a forum for discussion of public policy, science and technology topics. The conference organisation will rotate between the national member societies. The first, managed by the DGLR, will be held in Berlin from the 10th to the 13th of September 2007. Three kinds of publications are foreseen : o a quarterly liaison bulletin; o periodic technical journal of the Aeronautics Branch; o periodic technical journal of the Space Branch. The Council will be governed by a Board of Trustees, with representatives from each of the member Societies. The officers of the Board, as elected on 6th December 2006, are as follows : o Sir Colin TERRY, President; oJean-Michel CONTANT, Vice-President, publications and external relations ; oUlf OLSSON, Vice-President, Awards and membership; oJulian SIMON CALERO, Vice-President, finance; o Dieter SCHMITT, Executive Director; o Alain GARCIA, Head of the Aeronautics Branch; o Constantinos STAVRINIDIS, Head of the Space Branch. In addition, the following were also appointed on 6th December 2006 : o Gérard FOUILLOUX, head of the PCC (Programme Coordination Committee); o Jean-Pierre SANFOURCHE, editor-in-chief of the Quarterly CEAS Bulletin. In the first half of 2007, the Board will concentrate on two main tasks: o elaboration of the Strategic Plan; o definition and Constitution of the different Committees.
